Every company has more ideas than it can fund. The constraint is rarely imagination. It is the distance between a good idea and a project that capital can recognise.

The projects that move forward share a few traits. The problem is stated in a way anyone can repeat. The case is structured early. And a path to capital is designed in from the start, not searched for at the end.

Designing for capital from the start

When an idea is shaped with its funding options in view, the conversation changes. Scope, timing and risk are calibrated to what capital supports. The question stops being whether the company can afford it and becomes how soon it can begin.

Ideas conceived with capital in mind are far more likely to be built.
